Travel Tips for Singapore

  • Transportation: Singapore’s MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) is efficient and affordable. Consider buying an EZ-Link card for easy access to public transport. Alternatively, taxis and Grab (Southeast Asia’s Uber) are widely available.
  • Weather: Singapore is hot and humid year-round, so wear light, breathable clothing and carry an umbrella for unexpected rain. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
  • Language: English is widely spoken, but learning a few basic phrases in Mandarin, Malay, or Tamil can enhance your experience.
  • Money: Singapore’s currency is the Singapore Dollar (SGD). Most places accept credit cards, but it’s always a good idea to carry some cash for hawker centers and smaller shops.
  • Time Zone: Singapore operates on Singapore Standard Time (GMT+8).
