Before we get to the 15 x Best Things to do in Mount Fuji, you have to get there, right!
Getting to Mount Fuji from Tokyo is quite straightforward. The BEST way to navigate is to use Google or Apple maps and use your location and put in ‘Kawaguchiko Station‘ as your end station. This will bring up several options and times.
If you are planning to spend a few days in the Mount Fuji and / or Hakone region, you may consider getting a FUJI / HAKONE PASS to save yourself some money on your transport.
You also could consider hiring a car, if staying for a few days.
Day tours can be very handy. Not only do they take the stress out of getting to Mount Fuji and getting around the sites, they offer you a chance to get to places off the beaten track that you may not have reached by public transport.
If you are short on time, then a day trip is definately an option…. However, if you wish to visit more places from our list below, you may want to consider staying a night or two. What’s makes staying overnight even more appealing is there are some of the most beautiful accommodation options in and around Mount Fuji. There are many hotels and Ryokans that offer an onsen experience, and have rooms overlooking the magnificent Mountain herself!
